We're thrilled to share some important information regarding our recent progress:
Sales Milestone: We're excited to report that we're close a to 65 units sold. While our initial goal was to reach 100 orders, we encountered a setback when our store became the target of scammers. In just one day, we received fraudulent orders totaling $120,542, and this activity persisted for almost a week. Consequently, Shopify took swift action by removing their payment system (grrrr) and closely monitoring our shop (damm). To counteract this, we've implemented a third-party payment provider and added extra security measures to the checkout process to avoid scammers. Certification and Production Plan: We recently discussed progress at the UL office in Hong Kong, and the preliminary research looks promising. To achieve certification for the USA (UL1082) and Canada (CSA60335-1/2-15), we need to make some adjustments to certain parts in the machine/keg. Additionally, a new requirement has surfaced for a separate certification for a pressurized vessel with a thickness over 6 inches in diameter and a high pressure of max 60psi. We are actively engaging with ASME for assistance with this certification, with a typical timeline of 4-6 months. Without UL and ASME certification, shipping a USA version will not be possible. Rest assured, our manufacturing team is proactively working on the USA version post-Chinese New Year (CNY). We are hopefully to get a faster timeline than ASME communicated on their website as GEN 3 machine has CE (EU) approval.
CES 2024: Our participation in CES 2024 was a huge success! We got significant interest from the press, including Engadget, Gizmodo, Yahoo, and received over five awards from USA Today and various Food Magazines. Furthermore, major retailers expressed interest, and a few have even ordered test machines. We are thrilled about these developments and are eagerly looking forward to get one these companies on board.
