Eighth Update 👀🧑‍🏭

For those of you who’ve been eagerly waiting for updates, here’s the latest news. In short:

The production of the first 20+ units is in progress, and we're now targeting to ship in next couple of weeks due last-minute material changes. Additionally, we’re revamping our website and enhancing our customer support.

Production Plan

At the end of August and into early September, I spent time at the factory to oversee the assembly process.

As mentioned in our seventh update, small-batch production is underway. The manufacturing team has made great strides, and the first units are currently being tested and are almost ready to ship.

(Almost) final GEN 3.0 USA version

The focus is on completing the GEN 3 units, which include one keg. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to produce extra Smart Keg 3.0 units in parallel at this stage. Once GEN 3 production is finished, we’ll shift our efforts to Keg production.

The Smart Keg 3.0 USA version

We initially hoped to ship universal Minibrew parts to the USA, but a recent report from our trademark agency revealed that the term "Minibrew" can’t be used for any of our products in the U.S. This forced us to make changes to the LED and fan covers, as well as the rating label and packaging design. To prevent further delays, we decided to keep the artwork simple and compliant with local requirements.

Another last-minute change was upgrading the standard stainless steel beer tap for the GEN 3 USA version. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough stock to meet this upgrade, so we’re now expecting to receive the new taps in mid-October.

Testing & Development Plan

As more units come off the production line, we continue to perform tests to ensure quality. The units have passed both environmental and drop tests, as well as the FCC certification. This a huge milestone!

In parallel, we’re making progress on a new integrated pressure release valve that will open at 15 psi (1 bar), which will be included in future models. Here is the first design

Delivery Update

We are fully committed to meeting the timeline. Currently, we are finalising all logistics, including container shipment, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery in partnership with a shipping company based in LA. Progress is steady, and we’re confident we’ll be able to move forward.

Once the first round of production is complete, we will immediately begin work on fulfilling the remaining orders. This includes not only new Exobrew units but also outstanding orders from MiniBrew. We’re in the process of updating the production and delivery timeline for those as well and will keep you informed as soon as we have clearer dates.

What’s Next?

We’re also in the process of updating our website and improving our support services. As we approach the launch of the new model, we’re getting ready to accept new orders and offer brewing advice to our community.

We truly appreciate your continued patience and support. If you have any questions or concerns, our customer support team is here to help.

Thank you for believing in Exobrew—we’re almost there!
